Vetline with PengoLife Project
Far since, Vetline has shown his interest for anything related to enviroment, most of all towards animals. We stood up against violence on animals, and always have sustained cruelty-free projects. This will has been carried on in many ways, one of which is the choice to support Pengo Life Project by adopting Solio and Dida!
Hopefully you are about to do the same!

Here comes a short introduction to this project and its founders.
Kenia, 12 km south from Nairobi, in the heart of Nairobi National Park. Here exists, since 1977, the "David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust".
Those are the space-time coordinates you'll need to visit this foundation, unique in the whole world, that was created by Doc. Dame Daphne Sheldrick, in honour of his husband.
The main goal of this foundation was (and still is) taking care, feed and set free in Tsavo National Park, young elephants and rhyneceros made orphans by poachers.
David Sheddrik Wildlife Trust
The David Sheldrik Wildlife Trust includes all the acions and measures needed to preserve, save and protect wild animals, including fight to poaching, taking care of the whole enviroment, the sensibilisation of other people towards animals and enviroment sake. To realize this, veterinary cares are offered to animals who need it, many young subjects are brought in safe and grown, toghether with other species that can grow near them once freed and much more. |
After few days spent in Mara's Savana, i decided to visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. As soon as I saw elephant and rhynocers pups, i realised I had found the place I was looking for! Love exploded in me towards this project, and after one year of hard work, PENGO LIFE PROJECT was born!
Pengo Life Project is a no profit italian project, newborn by Doc. Giovannella, who has the strong will to share his goals, mission and vision with David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, bringing this project in Italy too. In Kenya the project became official in March 2010, in Nairobi, where Giovannella itself and doc. Armando Mulciri have shown to Doc. Dame Daphne Sheldrick and her daughter Angela Sheldrick their Pengo Life Project.
This project has the goal to protect two ancient species, the African Elephant (Loxodonta Africana, Loxodonta Cyclotis) and the Black Rhynocero (Diceros Bicorniseratotherium Simum) in a far away place as Africa, which still is so close, since man first started moving on his feet in there.
Our Goals
-
gathering medical resources and useful stuff for the project
-
gathering donations for the realization of specific projects
-
education and information about sensibilisation on the whole italian territory towards the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

This sure is a new project for our nation, culture and tradition. It's new because of the way we want to help, the way we feel close to this far land and those huge animals that we only have seen on tv.
This means that it's a whole new opportunity to truly know those species and a little more about our ancient origins.
Hugging a tree is a unique feeling, but how about hugging an Elephant?
There's still a lot to do, and every single piece of Ivory in the world is a painful memory of a life form that once was part of his family, loved and was loved, until he had to suffer a terrible pain, just to realize a meaningless trinket;
something so deeply carved in death, can't be considered beautiful!
Thus, help them surviving, now!
